Our dating soon became "letters only" as Chris and his family moved to Boston. Chris' stepfather (John L. Clarke) was called to be a mission president there.

In October of 72 Chris appeared literally in the centerfold of Boys' Life Magazine. It was an article about Boy Scout Jamborees and featured a photo of Chris from 1969 when his Laie troop went to the Jamboree at Farragut State Park in northern Idaho.
