Bar Harbor Maine
August 20th:  Drove to Bar Harbor and set up our tent.  Rocky beaches, tide pools, with tiny baby shrimp jumping around, periwinkles in all colors.  Live crabs and lots of seaweed that Sharilyn just loved eating!!  Very foggy which gave things an eerie feel.  A large rock in the distance covered with seagulls stuck out of the low fog.  We could hear fog horns and a bell clanging on a distant ship.  The sound of seagulls and waves crashing on the rocks was just beautiful.  We slept to the sound of rain pittering on the tent all night.

Washington DC
November 16
We had so much fun going to the temple with Bullocks (in DC) and doing some sight seeing.  (A little over an hour flight)  We took the girls to the Andersons and we will trade with them so they can go to the temple.  Marriott gives great discounts to those coming to the temple so our room was only $35 instead of $100.  The temple is so breathtaking!!!!  So very beautiful.  ...Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln memorials, Air & Space Museum, White house, & Capital Building.(There's a statue of Brigham Young in there!) Bureau of Engraving where they print paper money.  (You can buy a sheet of uncut money for a souvenir!) Museum of Natural History and American History.  We went to the archives building and saw the original Declaration of Independence.
