We took a trip to Florida because of amazing fly free fairs for kids. Mom & Dad and Steve went with us. The cool thing is that the airline was overbooked and offered all nine of us free tickets if we would let them bump us to a later flight...only 4 hours later! We accepted! They even gave us lunch!
| We flew out of Idaho Falls to SLC. Grandma and Grandpa Tronier came to the airport to see us off |
Dad was making the kids laugh at the airport in Atlanta. He kept sticking his foot in the door of the monorail so that the voice would chastise him. ha ha
A cool thing happened. We had reserved a mini van but it wasn't available when we got there so they gave us this big 15 passenger van for the same price. It was such a blessing! All 9 of us fit comfortably.
In the first day we had the stroller we rented stolen 3 times and 2 hats that we bought Emily and Aaron got stolen. I felt sad so I bought two more hats and accidently left them on a ride and we couldn't get them back. I felt really bad & we decided to wait until the end to get anything else. Mom & Dad felt bad that happened too so they went clear back to where we had purchased them and bought two more hats! Holy cow! Poor Mom had blisters on her feet and we were running them both too hard.

We went to the Epcot Center and Disney World, which we discovered was much less crowded on the weekend. We also went to MGM and to Kennedy Space Center (bus tour) and saw the Columbia that will go up in space in just two weeks.

The water was warm and delightful. Chris brushed up on body surfing skills and the rest of us faked it. Mom fed seagulls & had them all flocking around her. Dad rode the waves with his hat on so his head wouldn't get sunburned. I thought for sure he would lose his hat but he never did.
We stayed in a terrible Motel 6 and brought an ice-chest to have some fresh food in the room. The toilets flooded, they didn't change sheets, the place was smelly and the maid stole Chris's mango that he was letting get ripe. It was frustrating but we ended up joking about it and every time something would go wrong we would just "blame it on the maid."
Sometimes going cool places just goes too fast. I couldn't believe we were going, then I couldn't believe we were really there and then we got home & I couldn't believe we'd been! ha ha.
