We had the wonderful blessing and experience to go to Philmont in New Mexico. It was like a mini millennium! Everyone was so kind and like minded in our love of the Savior. We took Dannah Dalling with us. Jen, Shar and Dannah went to a separate adventure.
We wish there were more pictures. I kept a journal including notes from talks etc. but I haven't yet been able to find it. The kids had activities for their own age group. While the scout leaders were in sessions, which we were also invited to attend, there were wonderful sessions for us spouses.
Chris and I wanted to sing in the choir for a devotional? We had a rehearsal really early in the morning. We left our tent very quietly so as not to awaken the twins who were sleeping soundly. After choir practice I returned and found a nearby tent neighbor with the twins. They had awakened and a good neighbor took care of them for us until we returned. Where else would you be able to trust people like that. It felt so community and kind.
