1994 California Spring Break

Disneyland with Tami, Katie, David and Aunt Tude.  Aunt Tude, with her CA drivers license, got us each a $10 discount.

                           Splash Mountain

Tami was in a wheelchair because it's too much walking and it ended up really great because they let wheelchair parties in without waiting in line.  Andrew loved the rides.  Andrea was pretty terrified of all of them except half way through "It's a Small World" she relaxed and smiled and really enjoyed it.   In Circle Vision (movie all around you) Andrea kept crying and covering her eyes saying "Where are we going, I want to go back down!"

We ran into Rex and Kay Gardner from our Illinois Ward!!

A group of nuns walked by and Andrew pointed at them and said to me "Mom look, there's the holy spirit."  Then Andrea said "No it's not!  Not black!"  How very interesting! I was completely intrigued by this exchange.  Nuns dedicate their lives to serving God so it makes sense they would have the spirit with them.  Did Andrew feel that?  And Andrea... did she intuitively understand that white is the color of light and truth - definitely not black.

Andrew was all excited to ride the "alligator" up to our room in the hotel.

Andrew found a high point on a cement wall and stood straight and tall and said to me "Look at me Mom.  I'm Moroni."

Spent a night in Las Vegas.  It is dazzling and grand and lit up all night.  It's kind of like Satan's counterfeit city of light.  Just amazing.  Seeing all those incredible structures leaves me in awe what man can build.  I wonder what kind of unimaginable structures the Lord will have in His great and true City of Light.

We also got to go to the beautiful San Diego temple. A glorious breathtaking place both inside and out like a majestic white castle.  Inside, the passage to the Celestial room after you go through the veil, is a curved wall painted a peaceful light blue with big puffy clouds.  The Celestial room is beautiful with a big stairway going up to a second level with balconies edged with gold railing.  Up there through a door is an atrium...a glass wall shaped like an 8 sided star (octagram) that goes up to the ceiling.  There's a decorative hole cut through the ceiling that you can look through and see the spires outside lit up against the dark sky.  When it rains outside, it rains on the atrium!  You go though another door on the upper level and descend the grand stairway down.  It's a large curved stairway with gold railing.  Ah so beautiful like heaven and everyone was so friendly and looked completely happy.

The kids loved walking around the grounds and looking through the large glass doors with their pretty beveled designs into the large foyer and all dressed in white.
