I can't remember why I wrote this up but it was in my journal dated April 2009. I thought it nice to include in this blog.
Chris has been a bishop, branch president, on the high counsel and stake YM president. He has been very active with the youth and scouting and has been on Woodbadge staff for a couple years. Chris was president of Sawtooth Software for ten years and is presently CFO of the company. Every other year, if it's been prosperous and share holders agree, he takes the company to Hawaii for a retreat. He is well loved in the community. Chris also serves as chairman of IMRO and on the national MRA board. We are preparing to go on a mission in the next few years.
Debbie has had many callings including primary president twice, RS president twice and stake RS presidency. Debbie has helped in the Port Angeles soup kitchen & spear headed a community garage sale which earned $4,000 for disaster relief. She organized our neighborhood so that we would have a plan in case of an area emergency and got ask to present this to the ward in Port Townsend. Debbie works part time as Corporate Secretary for Sawtooth Software. She and Andrea are members of the "Na Hula O Wahine Ilikea" ("Dance of the fair skinned women") who perform in rest homes and various luaus and festivals.
Jennifer lives in Albany NY and is working on her PhD from Rensselaer. She hopes to soon be finished with her dissertation in Communication and Rhetoric. Jen serves as Enrichment Counselor in the RS presidency. She loves life and teaching and would like to teach at BYU Idaho again.
Sharilyn married Thomas Bean in August 2000. They live in Moscow Idaho. Tom got his masters degree in Engineering and now works for the university. Tom and Shar have 2 children, Jarom age 5 and Kaydance age 3. Their new baby boy is due any day now. Sharilyn got her Child Development Associate Credentials while working at a pre-school and has had a preschool in her home for a few years. Shar recently was primary president and Tom is on the High Counsel.
Emily graduated from BYU-I with a Bachelors degree in Communications with an emphasis in Advertising. (She minored in humanities) Emily has been working as a very talented Advertising Coordinator for the Sandy Chamber of Commerce. She is scuba certified (as is Chris) and they love doing doing dives together. Em loves the outdoors, hiking, traveling, camping etc. She has been serving in the RS presidency.
Aaron served in the Brazil Salvador mission & is currently a student at BYU majoring in International Business. He works part time as a TA in the physical science lab. During the summers he works for Sawtooth as their website and graphic designer. This past summer he and Andrew performed in "Into the Woods" with the Port Angeles Light Opera Company playing the part of the prince brothers.
Andrea is a senior in HS and very involved in many things. She is in the wind ensemble, jazz band and operetta club. She has played in many school plays including some lead roles. She helps out in the elementary school, is a member of Link crew (helping freshman), a flute instructor and math tutor. She is a well respected young woman and received her YW medallion at age 15. She has been accepted to BYU and will be majoring in Speech Pathology.
Andrew is a senior in HS and also involved in many things. He is a singer & song writer and goes to state every year with his vocal performances. He is operetta club president and in many school plays. Currently he is in Beauty & the Beast playing the part of the Beast. He is almost finished with his Eagle project. Andrew has been accepted to Southern Virginia University and would like to become a humanities professor.
