Maui SSI family retreat

 Fun company outing to Maui.  The plane was full of SSI kids who all raised their hands in the air (like on a roller coaster) at takeoff ha ha.  Jen flew Albany, Pittsburg, Laas Vegas, Maui - 22 hours!  Emily flew IF to Denver to Phoenix to Maui.  We were all so thankful to land safely as a wind storm was causing some planes to have to land in Honolulu instead. It was scary and Adam Hill was yelling "We're gonna die!" and Carrie was in tears and shaking!

The most talked about event of the whole trip was the episode that happened one hour after we checked out of the hotel/condo!  There was a shark attack on the very beach where we had snorkeled across the street from where we were staying!  It took a chunk from a Canadian man's hand and thigh.  Helicopters came and spotted the two 12 foot tiger sharks!  He was only off shore 30 feet.  So scary.

command his boat with exactness - played it like an instrument

 

 

 Chris & Em got to go on a guided scuba dive with Hills and Ormes near Molokini. The rest of us went snorkeling at the beach across the street.

 Went to church but discovered it was stake conference so nobody was there. (Same thing happened in March when we came to scout out the place) We went back to our condo and had our own meeting discussing Mosiah 5.

 

 

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  We loved an audio cassette tour that we purchased called "The Road to Hana"!  It was like a tour guide telling you where to pull off and what to look at and in between told interesting bits of history!
